Smart Tech Training opened in July 2015, to provide biennial Smog Update Classes for licensed Smog Check Repair Technicians on the central coast of California. It has evolved into a full-service Smog Check Training Center, offering all the classes required by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for technicians renewing their Smog Technician Repair License and for future Smog Check Technicians working on obtaining their Smog Inspector License or Smog Repair Technician License.

Our goal at STT is to provide high quality, job-relevant, readily available training and regularly scheduled classes for licensed Smog Inspectors and Repair Technicians in Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Monterey Counties. And to provide the BAR required training for technicians applying for a Smog Inspector or Smog Repair Technician License.
