Smart Tech Training is a Certified Smog Technician Training Center for licensed Smog Check Technicians needing their update training and for future Smog Check. Technician pursuing a Smog Inspector License or Smog Repair Technician License. Established in 2015, it is a full-service training facility, offering all the classes required by the Bureau of Automotive Repair for licensed smog technician training and for future smog technician applicants.

I have 37 years’ experience teaching automotive technology. In addition to teaching classes at Smart Tech Training, I also currently teach advanced automotive
Classes at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo and Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. I have extensive experience with the California Smog Check Program Laws
and Regulations because I was an investigator for the BAR for 20 years. I retired from the BAR in 2010. During my employment with the BAR, I worked exclusively in
the Smog Check Program.
